A Prayer 

            God of Advent,

            God of Joy,

            We anticipate the joy of celebrating your human birth,

            Grant us patience,

            Grant us courage,

            Grant us confidence in you and your promises.

            Restore us, O God, to the people you planned for us to be.                    

            May we go out in joy

            Courageously trusting in Your promise of restoration
