Faith Mennonite Edmonton
124342 87 St., Edmonton, AB, T5B 3P3. Minister Byron Rempel-Burkholder served in 1996 as a congregational leader. In 1985 there were 68 members; in 1995, 74. The congregation dissolved in August 1996. The congregation had been affiliated with Mennonite Church Alberta and the Conference of Mennonites in Canada (1981-1996). The language of worship was English.
The congregation began services and formally organized in 1980. The first building was occupied in 1986. Jake Froese is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by First Mennonite Church, Edmonton.
The congregation closed because of declining membership, financial struggles and inability to fill positions within the congregation. When it closed there were 43 participating resident members.
