MCA Student Bursary Application

Step 1  - Personal Reflections

Mennonite Church Alberta provides a tuition bursary as an incentive for young people to nurture their faith as they pursue higher education. We believe that when our young adults grow spiritually, the greater community grows spiritually as well.  As a way of connecting the spiritual journey of our donors and our bursary recipients, we will require a written reflection from each applicant. Please note that these submissions may be shared with MCA staff, committee executive and donors.

Please use the questions below to complete a 250-word essay.

First-time applicants

Why did you choose a Mennonite institution? How has your home congregation and/or the ministries of Mennonite Church Alberta shaped your decision? Describe your involvement in your home congregation.

Returning applicants

Why do you continue to choose a Mennonite institution? Why is it worth it? Please provide an example from the previous year.
