Our Programs
Bridge Building
Bridge Building supports the work of adapting to and embracing the differences in our culture and faith traditions. Bridge Building events help to better equip individuals and congregations to identify, listen to, learn from our communities, so that, together, we can "heal and rejoice" the Kingdom of God into being for all of us.
Camp Valaqua
Camp Valaqua provides facilities and programs in a unique setting close to creation. We invite individuals and the larger community to participate in the use of our facilities and summer camp programs. We are committed to creating a place where all children can come and feel safe and loved and have a lot of fun! And, most importantly, experience God-in-Creation!
Student Bursary
Mennonite Church Alberta provides a tuition bursary as an incentive for young people to nurture their faith as they pursue higher education. The bursary is open to post-secondary students from MCA congregations.
Application are available late spring and due each year by July 31 for the following school year.
Leadership Training & Support
Training and support for MCA pastors and church leader is a key element for the Regional church. This is achieved through regular meetings of the MCA Pastor's council, faith study days, retreats, training days, and more.
Indigenous-Settler Relations
Indigenous-Settler Relations helps Mennonite communities grow in our awareness of host peoples and nurture justice-based friendships. Our aim is to honour the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action and live into the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as we pursue the costly path of Christ.
Youth Discipleship
Camp Valaqua serves as a discipleship program for teens and young adults. Whether PIT Crew, Counselor-in-Training (CIT), Counselor, or Crew Leader, leadership positions are available for a wide age range. Camp is a place for discipleship, belonging, and becoming! Photo from Camp Valaqua files.
